Silver Street
House
The rooms in the Silver Street
House are named after the quartet of Irishmen that became known as the
Bonanza Kings. When the Big Bonanza was struck in the
Consolidated Virginia mine in 1873, these four became instant
millionaires. The Con-Virginia, as it was known, became the all
time leading producer in the history of the Comstock Lode. Each
of the four rooms has a
queen bed and a private bath. Rates range from $105 to $140 per night
for two people. Storey County collects a 10% Room Tax. Smoking is
allowed in the gardens only. Sorry, we cannot accommodate pets.
Check in time is 4-6 pm and check out time is at 12 noon.

John Mackay Room
South facing windows in this
upstairs room overlook the historic Fourth Ward School below on C
Street and the Pine Nut Mountains in the background. Of all the
rooms, this is owner Pat's favorite. It is also one of the most
private rooms at the Inn.

William O'Brien Room
The famous "One Hundred Mile View"
down 6-mile canyon to the Carson Plains and beyond can be seen from the
east facing windows in this upstairs room. Guests always mention
the "wow" factor of the glorious sunrises viewed from this room.

James
Flood Room
The famous "One Hundred Mile
View" down 6-mile canyon to the Carson Plains and beyond can be seen
from the east facing windows in this room. This is the Inn's
largest downstairs room and the only room with the canyon view without
having to climb stairs.

Jim
Fair Room
The south facing window in
this
downstairs room overlooks the historic Fourth Ward School below on C
Street and the west facing window has a view of hillside gardens
where many fruit trees grow. It is to the rear of the house and
guests who have stayed in this room request it again and again.
